forest glow volcanic red and hear the distant roar of the
Volcano. Just up the road you can discover the
snow-capped mountains of Mauna Kea or Mauna Loa. All
this and more awaits you at this secluded Fern Forst getaway
located just minutes from the entrance to Volcano National
Park.

From Kona:
Take Highway 11 to Volcano 90 miles south. Take note of
the mile markers along the highway to give you an idea on
distance. We are at Mile Marker 23. Approximately 4
1/2 miles past the entrance to Volcano National Park and just
before Mile Marker 23, you will turn right onto Alii Kane
Street. Alii Kane begins as a two-lane paved road for the
first half-mile... narrows to a one-lane paved road another
half-mile, then finally a cinder-stone road for the last quarter
mile ending at the property. Signs on the property are
clearly marked for your convenience. From
Hilo: Take Highway 11 to Volcano. Just past Mile
Marker 23 turn LEFT onto Alii Kane Street. Alii Kane
begins as a two-lane paved road for the first half-mile...
narrows to a one-lane paved road another half-mile, then finally
a cinder-stone road for the last quarter mile ending at the
